Got the SL410, but want docking

#1 Post by DiGiTY » Wed Jan 20, 2010 6:02 pm

I just picked up the ThinkPad SL410 and it meets all my requirements exactly and for the most part I'm happy with it, but when I bought it to work I then learned it doesn't have docking capabilities.

Any recommendations on something exactly like the SL410 (the C2D T6570 refresh model, 2842-FBU) but with docking capabilities?

TIA

There isn't anything "Exactly like" the SL series but with docking.

T/R series may be close enough, but they will be more expensive, and have some different feature sets. For instance, they lack HDMI (which IMO is a sad deliberate omission on Lenovo's part).

The answer depends on which are those requirements (which SL410) meets that are vital for you, and which aren't.

Thanks. I found the ThinkPad USB Port Replicator with Digital Video (45K1610). I'll just go with this option I guess.

Thanks again.
