I have a SL510 too. It's kind of big indeed, at least compared to a T40 or 4:3 T61. I really wonder, who needs 16:9 displays in business hardware?

Had they included a numblock, the design would have looked less bulky. The more or less empty bars left and right from the keyboard don't make the hardware slim.

And i agree with the other dude or dudette, please make a pic or two.

Not many people. But it's not really a business machine -- it's an IdeaPad in business attire. It's aimed more at the home market than the enterprise IMHO.

It's not quite an Ideapad. Still has some Thinkpad features (e.g., trackpoint, shock-mounted drive). It's more like a half-business models, like DELL's Vostro, or HP's Probook.

It's also not quite the same as W701. From the reference sheets:

SL510: 380 x 247mm x 32–36mm
W701: 410mm x 310mm x 40.6-41.4mm

Almost the same where width goes - yes, because of the 16:9 screen. But W701 is much taller and thicker.
Current: X220 4291-4BG, T410 2537-R46, T60 1952-F76, T60 2007-QPG, T42 2373-F7G
Collectibles: T430s (IPS FHD + Classic Keyboard), X32 (IPS Screen)
Retired: X61 7673-V2V, A31p w/ Ultrabay Numpad
Past: Z61t 9440-A23, T60 2623-D3U, X32 2884-M5U
