L520 / L420 surface temperatures...

#1 Post by tc35 » Tue May 31, 2011 7:28 pm

Under light use, does L520 / L420 get noticeably warm around the wrist rest area? Thank you!

I don't own one, but this could be highly subjectionable... I have a Dell D610, and LOTS of reviews around the net state the palmrest gets: Quite Hot, Noticeably Warm, and many other phrases that I personally couldn't disagree with more... I dunno, maybe my hands are more caloused, maybe I got lucky... I dunno,,, but I don't notice any heat even under heavy load.

If I'm looking at the right hardware maintenence manual, these have a 7200RPM drive under the left palm rest, like most laptops with a drive there, your almost definately going to feel some heat, your own perception is how much :P
