Where to get the rubber feet on bottom of R500?
Where to get the rubber feet on bottom of R500?
The rubber feet on the bottom of my R500 fell off and were lost, now the laptop slides around on the desk. I'm not sure of the FRU number of this part so I don't know where to start to look. The Hardware Maintenance Manual doesn't list the part number for the rubber feet. Does anybody know where I can start?

If this doesn't work out, I saw some aftermarket feet with flip-up latches (for air circulation) by Gigaware on clearance at RadioShack. They may be useful in either circumstance.

I may have some rubber feet for you, which ones do you need exactly?
I have an R500 that I'll have to dig out of storage and see if I can match you up some feet from my massive spare parts pile.

Re: Where to get the rubber feet on bottom of R500?
My R500 being 7 years old & having traveled all over the place, all its rubber feet are long gone. If sliding around became a problem I would simply use dabs of black silicone "goop", aka RTV silicone aka other names, in the slots where the feet used to be, duplicating the size & depth of the original feet. Let dry overnight & this will work as well, or better than, the OEM rubber feet.
