1802 Atheros Wifi card error

Hey all,

I got an Atheros ar9285H wifi card for my thinkpad yesterday and spent about 3 hours trying to get installed but the 1802 error kept coming up. My thinkpad is a t6u r400 7438 and I cannot figure out what to do. I googled like crazy trying to find zander's bios mod for the r400 but I just cannot find it, i also tried the no1802 hack, didn't work at all. If anyone has the r400 pre-modded bios file, please post it below. Thank you,

Welcome to the forum!

I'm not aware of any modded BIOS for your machine.

You might just have to stick with a Lenovo-issued card.

well, maybe if it has 2 mini-pci slots I could put the Atheros card in there..

You could check out bios-mods.com and its forum. I'm sure you can make a request over there if someone hasn't already.

You should post another general whitelist one.

This has not been done yet huh? I was hoping to slap a AR9380 in my R500

There is a modded BIOS for R500. I don't have the file, but it does exist.
