R500 Can't Find Wireless Connection With SSD

#1 Post by Castlecg » Mon Jan 04, 2016 11:31 pm

Hello!

I have a Crucial MX100 ssd that was working perfectly in an older Thinkpad, including finding the wireless connection.

In my R500 and TP61 thinkpads, it cannot find the wireless connection. It says "No connections available." or Wireless Adapter Connection Problem?

What do I do? Do I need to download drivers? If so, how do I figure out which ones I need? There are quite a few on the Lenovo website.

I am running windows 7 home premium on the SSD.

Thanks!

If you can, put in an ethernet cable to go online.
Then go into Control Panel/Device Manager/Network Adapters.
Rightclick the wifi adapter and select "Update Driver Software".
Let it go online to search.
If that does not work, rightclick again and "UNinstall" it, then rightclick again and select "scan for hardware changes".
What gives?
Lovely day for a Guinness! (The Real Black Stuff)
