R400 OpenGL update

I have a Thinkpad R400 type 7443-32G which has an Intel graphics card with OpenGL version 1.1
Is it possible to update OpenGL in this model?

The integrated gpu should be able to support at least opengl 2.0, make sure you installed the proper graphics drivers.

No because the old Intel graphics card (GMA 4500MHD) only supports up to OpenGL 1.5 or 2.0, depending on the driver.
