R400 Does not sleep

New r400 does not sleep when lid is closed. updated power manager, bios, still the same

Stupid question but have you set it up in such a way that it is supposed to go to sleep when you close the lid?

yep... done it all. I seem to remember having this problem in a previous think pad with something running that prevented sleep. It does go into hibernation however. I don't know why I keep buying think pads. I have also had it 4 days and realize it has a dead pixel...
