Hotkeys LCD Brightness issue

Hi !

Recently I've installed Win 7 Pro PL on R500 with x4500 intel graphics chipset integrated. Then I updated all drivers and common apps on my machine. Generally all software from Lenovo website works correct but the problem with LCD Brightness indicator persists (all the other graphical info appear on my screen but the LCD brightness does not). System updater has installed new patch for hotkeys but I still can't see any graphical information when I change the display brightness via Fn+ home/end. Is there any way to fix this issue or maybe I'm doing something wrong. Help me plz...

P.S. As we will have (tommorow) Easter here in Poland I'd like to wish you all the best and good luck!

Any time I've seen an OSD issue on a Thinkpad, it always comes down to installing the latest versions of all of the below from Lenovo;

Lenovo System Interface Driver
Power Management Driver
Hotkey Utility

Also, if you are running the Intel video driver, try the Lenovo video driver.

I've checked everything carefully and it seems that all drivers and soft are up to date (vga driver is even newer than this on lenovo website) so I guess the problem lays somewhere else. Maybe I need to edit some register keys and values?

Try the Lenovo driver. The Intel driver is known to cause problems with the OSD.
