Faint whistling sound while browsing?

It's almost like a very low birds chirping like sound as my cursor moves from link to link. It does not always happen. Anybody experience anything like this? The machine is a W520. Thanks in advance,

Is it some high pitch electronic noise...?

From my limited experience, in most cases it's harmless, and it proves that your hearing ability is still good. Although once I had the PSU of a LCD monitor replaced (under warranty) because it's kind of loud and was bugging me.

Ok, I guess I can chalk this one up to normal happenstance as opposed to a malfunctioning soundcard. A tad annoying on a high-end laptop but I'm wearing a set of cans (headphones) 99% of the time anyway.
