WLAN adapters

#1 Post by tom3k380 » Tue Nov 22, 2011 6:26 pm

I'm buying the W520, but I'm not sure whether I should go with the standard ThinkPad b\g\n or the Intel Centrino Ultimate-N 6300 adapter.

Will there be a significant boost in signal when I'm far away from the access point?

Is it worth the $40?

From firsthand experience... It is definitely worth the $40! My W520 definitely performed better with it than my old R51... & the array of laptops our friends/family regularly bring over. (Dell, HP, etc.)
