Hi
I am looking at acquiring a USB external monitor.
Does anyone have any experience with these?

Re: USB External Monitor
I have the diamond bvu195, which converts usb to dvi, and then just using a standard dvi monitor. All this is based off displaylink technology.
This is the same concept, except moves the usb to dvi logic from the monitor to separate box, which I think gives more options as the components aren't all bundled into one thing. I've upgrade my usb to dvi box once to get higher resolution.
I see that someone has announced a usb 3.0 to hdmi displaylink device with upto 2560 x 1600 resolution.
Also with the displaylink software you can use an ipad as a monitor. Haven't tried that.
