Keyboard customizer

#1 Post by Daniel Davis » Fri Mar 23, 2012 6:09 pm

I'm running w7pro on a w510. I've been searching for a keyboard macro generator that works like Borland Superkey used to....

1. Turn on the recorder.
2. Perform a task while the program records.
3. Turn off the recorder.
4. Select a key to hold the macro (example: control/alt L)
5. Save the macro.
6. control/alt L now executes the macro no matter the running program.

I've been trying to determine if the Thinkpad keyboard customizer (which as far as I can tell is NOT installed on my w501) will do this for me. Has any of you had experience with it (or another program) that will? I've downloaded pretty much everything on the net that says it will....thus far to no avail.

AutoHotKey. It's a very powerful tool, and I imagine it will fit your needs although I don't have much experience with it.
