msata SSD & Conventional SSD RAID 0

New to forum... Just ordered my W520, taking advantage of Lenovo's Memorial Day sale on these units. Guess they are clearing the channel for the Ivy Bridge W530's... I'll list my build on the build list sticky thread...

Has anybody taken a msata ssd drive, and RAID0 it with a conventional drive in the HDD bay?

I recognize that the msata units are on SATA2, and the newer SSDs that would fit in the HDD bay are SATA3.

I was considering mating up:

OCZ Nocti Series NOC-MSATA-120G mSATA 120GB SATA II MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6820227748

with a:
Intel 520 Series Cherryville SSDSC2CW120A310 2.5" 120GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) - OEM
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6820167095

Q:s
Is this a smart way to go?

Will that work ok?

Is it just better to use the ultrabay HD carrier with a matched drive?

Is having RAID0 on two SSD's overkill, when 1 SSD will do?

Has the Intel RAID0 Trim update hit the streets?

BTW I did do the RAID option on the build, tried to just get the option without the drives, but NO SOUP FOR ME... MUST ORDER THE EXTRA DRIVE>>>>

Thanks for a great forum!
