Will Lenovo_Recovery work if copied/pasted to SSD?

I can't seem to get my new SSD HD to install the Win7 Pro OS through conventional methods. Will it work if I format the SSD then copy/paste that partition to it, then boot from it?
Thanks!

No...but you can use a disk image/clone application to do that. Acronis True Image is a favorite that has worked for me several times.

Looks like the free/trial version won't clone... so before I spend $50, please confirm: I would just make a partition on my SSD, clone this portion of the recovery disc to that partition, then run it to reinstall everything?
Thanks

For what it's worth the Acronis software option (paid-for version) worked GREAT. Wish I'd known that option a dozen hours earlier...
Thank you!

It's been a while since I used the free version, but I'm fairly certain you can clone a HDD with it. After all, that's what it's for.
I wouldn't recommend trying to "clone" any part of a recovery disc though. The idea is to clone the entire original HDD to the new SSD. But, I understand the operation can be a bit tricky with SSD, and I've only done it with mechanical HDD in the past, so someone else may be able to offer a better solution for your situation.
