ok when I checked both hard drives in the w700 i found something strange.

Does this mean it's running on raid 1, raid0 or dual OS ?

I took out 1 of the hard drives and i get some boot error, some Intel Boot Agent failing and BSODs at the windows screen. I havent tried pulling out the other HDD though.

The bootup's very slow, taking more than 2 mins 30s.

That would indicate dual-OS. Having two partitions has nothing at all to do with RAID configuration; you could have that even with only one drive. You may not even have RAID at all, just two separate drives. You'd need to look at the RAID configuration program and/or device manager/disk manager.

alright..
I've tried booting on individual drives before and only 1 drive was successful. the other drive results in a BSOD soon after windows load.
The OS drive only contains 1 partition. so that makes me wonder, since both drives are 500GB, why would there be 4 partitions and the total space of the remaining 3 partitions > 500GB(raw space)

What does you disk management screen look like? Among other ways, you can run this by typing diskmgmt.msc at a command prompt or in the windows search box.
