Minidock Series 3 on W510

Hi Gurus

I own a Lenovo Thinkpad W510 which I am very happy with however I have noticed that at my office, where I have a brand new Minidock Series 3 (170W), it seems like the machine is not as fast as when I am at home where I have an old Mini dock Series 3 (135W / P/N 45N5888). I just noticed now here at home where I have this dock. I thought that it might be drivers but here at home it just works flawlessly. Even Youtube runs like cr*p at the office but here at home there are no stuttering or anything.

Does anyone know the cause of this? I assume that it might not be able to clock up like when using a 90W PSU but I am not sure - yet. Are there any hacks to get it up to speed again (Can't afford a new W520/530 at the moment so don't suggest that )
