W700 Warranty service

Requested service for my under warranty W700. Onsite technician shows up to replace motherboard (machine booted up OK, but only problem was internal video, external worked enough to save some unbacked up files). Replacing functioning motherboard, display, display cable, inverter . . . no improvement. This began in December. I was asked to mail in after 3 technician visits. Mailed in January 15, 2013, Machine being repaired, Hold for parts for 2 months now. Lenovo person offered to replace unit, I wanted to think about it because the replacement unit would have fallen short in a number of areas. Have never heard from, even tried to call, no answer, emailed, no response. Now I just want my partially repaired unit back, what rotten service for a guy that has owned more than a dozen of these over the years. What to do? IBM Problem number A04PV63, case # CNMVGHM, product 2752-34U. Probably has a bad video board which they cannot locate. I can find them on Ebay. Any help in resolving this would be greatly appreciated. Jim

Sorry to hear about the poor service. You might want to post this on the Lenovo forums. You can also contact Mark over there. He may be able to cut through the red tape and get you an answer.

Call back, escalate the case to a Supervisor level. Call, pester and bother the living daylight out of everyone and their seventh cousin.

Follow ZaZ's advice about posting this on Lenovo's forum as well.

Unless you want to accept a replacement unit, arm yourself with plenty of patience.

Good luck.
