Hello,
when I was trying to stress my W500 to its limits to find out the maximum power consumption I accidentaly bricked my most favourite 12-cell battery. Now what I mean by "bricked"? The battery cannot be charged or discharged, but I am certain that the cells are fully functional. I might have fried the thermal fuse, but that not very likely as the cells inside the pack when the notebook crashed were cold. The last measured consumption when W500 crashed was 56W, which is still harmless for 95WHr Li-Ion pack considering the load was only slightly above 0.5C. Li-Ion cells can be discharged with 4C and more without much impact on their safety and/or lifespan.
Anyway it might have been good idea to disrupt the circuit when so many amps were going through those small contacts, but certainly NOT a good idea to make it irreversible. Now before going any further, let me clarify that this is not genuine pack, Lenovo does not offer 12-cell for W500/T500/T60/R60 etc.
Now I am about to pry open the pack to reset the circuit or to replace all fuses but before I do that I wanted to ask if there's some way how to reset the battery circuit on the outside. The voltage between + and - seems to be around 0.43V from which I guess this is a sort of electronic protection. I tried shorting few terminals on the battery but to no avail.
Any idea how to perform reset?
Thanks in advance!

You likely just fried your battery. Why would you want to stress it?
I guess you found out it's limits!
