Does anyone know if the W700's RAID controller would be able to support 2 separate RAID 0 configs at the same time?
For example: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6822236642
If someone were to use 2 of these, and create a 240GB SSD RAID, and a 2TB HDD RAID at the same time.
I know they are expensive, Just wondering if it would be possible.

I doubt it. It sounds like the drive actually works in the same manner as a Seagate Hybrid Drive... but the software just allows you to manually transfer the data you want onto the SSD. Plus, I'm pretty certain the W700's RAID capabilities won't detect a second "HDD" over a single SATA controller.

It is a cool concept though... and having two of those drives in a RAID 1 configuration would be a really great combination for performance and data redundancy.

One thing to bear in mind about SSDs is that the RAID controller in the Intel series 5 chipset, desktop or mobile, used at the time didn't support the TRIM command. It wasn't until series 7 that desktop motherboard did.
