W510 and ericsson F3507g
Hi
I'm new to this sub-forum, but I've been using ThinkPad's in a while.
So here's the issue - got a really nice used W510 and put my Ericsson F3507g card in it, branded by Lenovo with FRU etc.
The laptop is said to be WWAN prepared so I already got SIM card slot and two antennas.
But the card is not shown in the Device manager.
I've just updated the BIOS, which brought me "Unauthorized Wireless network card is plugged in. Power off and remove it"
After I rebooted one more time, the message didn't appear, but the card is still not visible in the Device manager.
Any ideas?
PS Could it be the sticker applied to pin 20 of the card, because I've used it with my T60p ?

The WLAN whitelist in the BIOS is preventing installation.
Try this BIOS version with the whitelist removed: http://forums.mydigitallife.info/thread ... post481597

Buy why? After all this car is ment to be integrated in W510 ?
Or at least this is what I think, since the support website tells me there is a driver for it?

Exactly because the card is not being seen, you need this BIOS.
It may be a Lenovo-approved card, but is probably for another model laptop.

As far as I know it's for SL500, but in the drivers list of mine (selected by PN) I read:RealBlackStuff wrote:Exactly because the card is not being seen, you need this BIOS.
