I have a lenovo w510 with no harddisk and 2x2gb memory,if I put the adaptor and press the power button nothing happens,no light nothing, does it require a harddisk to power on,or is something broken?

No, it doesn't need a hard disk installed to power on. If you've got access to a multimeter/voltmeter I'd check the A/C adapter to determine if it's putting out power. If it has a battery installed, remove it as well - sometimes a faulty battery installed will prevent the system from turning on.

If you can verify that one of those A/C adapters is working (and you've tried turning it on without the battery), then it sounds like the motherboard might be toast. :(

Sounds like a power circuit issue and/or a dead MB. The chance of having 3 power adapter not working is pretty remote. I'd start taking everything apart and see if it post to BIOS, beep or do something beside playing door stop.
