RAM : 4 GB DDR3
SSD : Intel 320 80GB

Thanks!

Best regards!

Personal preference really. I got a few machines now with Win 8.1. In stock configuration I hate Win 8/8.1. Only after applying some tweaks and making it work as close to Win 7 as possible do I like it. On my T500 and W500 I still prefer Win 7 because the switchable graphics driver works in Win 7 but so far I have not been able to get it working on Win 8.1. Switchable graphics is an important feature for me. Again personal preference, for me I prefer Win 7.

This laptop came with Vista Ultimate. If you are indeed using Vista now, then upgrading to 8 is worth it IMO, assuming all the drivers and features that you need would work properly after the upgrade, and assuming that you can adapt to 8's new user interface easily. But if you already have 7 on it, then 8 isn't as big an upgrade and if it were my computer, I wouldn't be willing to spend more than ~$20 for such an incremental upgrade. 8 does speed up the system and is also more secure than 7, but I would rather wait for 9.
