This guy has it on a W530 (same spot but crack is smaller).

- The W520 & W530 seem to use the same FRU for the LCD Bezel (60Y5482) & hinge (60Y5485)
- Each hinge gets two screws per side with same screw type & torque spec

Maybe this was due to factory defective left hinge install or hinge itself that I somehow made worse?

So then just fixing the LCD bezel wouldn't be enough right?

To me it looks like the left bottom screw, which only holds the bezel in place, was over-tightened.
OR the bezel is mis-constructed on the inside. Maybe it needs a washer between bezel-hole and screw stud.
Either glue the pieces together, or replace just the bezel and be careful when putting in the screw.
