Welcome to the forum.
All W520 drivers can be downloaded from here: http://support1.lenovo.com/en_US/resear ... D=HT063273
But please hurry! Lenovo is going to change a lot of driver-storage on their website by the end of October!
Another option is to install SystemUpdate from here: http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/downloads/migr-73695
Run that, and it should download and install the missing drivers for you.
Lovely day for a Guinness! (The Real Black Stuff)

You might get this too...

On both my W520 and my W510 before it, running Win 7 Pro 64-bit, I never got a driver to work for the error message, "Device driver software not successfully installed - PCI Simple Communications Controller". Happens every boot-up. But Windows says the driver is up-to-date and reports the driver is Intel Management Engine Interface - version 7.0.0.1144 date 10/19/2010. The Lenovo SystemUpdate 5 and the Intel Driver Update Utility never resolved the error.

So one might think it's hardware, except it happens on multiple machines. So in Windows Device Manager, I've disabled the PCI Simple Communications Controller to stop the error nags. I don't know what that device does but disabling it hasn't made any noticeable difference to me.

If you are not in a corporate environment, disabling Intel Management Engine Interface won't make a difference to you :)

Lenovo System Update works weird...it's missing many drivers and updates and on one day it misses even more and than they reappear the other day... :D But I still prefer it to manual installs...so when I did a reinstall, I did this:

1) Install gigabit and NET Framwework 4.0 manually.
2) Install LSU and all drivers and utilities that I use (all of them apart from 5 that I can not stand :) )
3) After reboot, run LSU again and install one update for something LSU just installed
4) Install modem drivers manually (I don't need a modem but when it's there, I like it to work.)
5) Run Windows Update and install all missing stuff (As I have a serious OCD, I found a way to do that without failed updates in a log :D ).
6) Install DirectX, nVidia PhysX, LCD color profile and all the other stuff...
7) After one sleepless night it's all done...
