One: if using i7-920XM processor in the W510, will memory be run at 1333 instead of 1066? I know that had to be quad cpu on 4 slot memory motherboard.

Two: how is the GPU on the W510 for older games? Also how is the game fares on T420 with NVS 4200?

Cheers, thinkpadcollection

Not sure about the memory speed. How much RAM do you have? Do you know how many slots your machine has? My w510 runs Dayz at over 30fps, BO2, over 30-40fps and Far Cry 2 and 3 at over 30FPS, Fallout NV over 30fps if this helps you any. All this on Med settings or better.

I installed Fallout 4 and Watchdogs. These will require low settings as well as a tweek you can find on youtube about dx11 on dx10 machine.

You will NOT get these last 2 to run on a w510 with less then 12gb of ram if at all playable.

Hope this helps.

yes memory will be running at 1333. depend on the latency you will get about 16000MB/s memory read/write/copy speed
Not sure about the FX880m, but my FX3800m can run all games from AOE 2 to GTA5(minimum details)

P.S. to max out you will need a i7 940xm lol
