W530 touchscreen

Hi Forum
Trying to fit a touchscreen from a W510 on a W530 i got some good news and some bad news this far.
The good news is that the screen is a good fit. I needed to switch one of the LCD cables, as the connector on the computer side is different. But they are similar on the LCD side, so I left the W530 cable in and hooked it up on the W510 LCD. In fact the LCD panel is the same model number (AU optronics model B156HW01 v4). The touch module is connected to the inverter panel, connected through the other cable, which is the same 28 pin connector on the computer side on both models.
So, LCD screen now works, and so does webcam and keyboard light. But touch is NOT working.
I have tried installing the ThinkPad Enhanced Multitouch Driver, both running windows 7 and 8.1. Example: http://support.lenovo.com/no/nn/downloads/ds014979
Attempts to install this unsurprisingly give me a "A supported tablet was not found on this system".
So this is where i need help. Is it possible to whitelist my W530 for this driver, and if so, how can this be achieved?
Any other suggestions?
Feedback or assistance would be greatly appreciated! Thanks
