Media card reader? Possible to retrofit?

I recently purchased a used W510. I have an open space where the media card reader should be. Is it possible to retrofit the laptop with a card reader? Will I need a bezel or cover to accompany the card reader?

I believe that the Multicard Reader (5-in-1 flash memory card reader) was standard on the W510 series. I don't know if it's possible to actually remove the interface from the system.

Now if you are talking about the Smart Card reader that's located on the left side of the laptop, then, yes, that was an option that could be ordered. In either case, I don't think you will need any special bezel or cover. I only have W500 systems and they're laid out a little bit differently from the W510. If in doubt, grab a copy of the Hardware Maintenance Manual for the W510 here:

Ah, you're right. I assumed that mine was missing because the opening looked so large.... but when I actually tried inserting an SD card it fit properly and the computer was able to read it. How embarrassing.

Thanks for the help.
