Slow to reach the BIOS spash screen - W510

Nothing too serious here just something grinding on me.
My W510 takes 12 seconds to reach the BIOS. Have tried changing the boot options in BIOS. Have tried disabling and enabling different hardware; Wi-Fi, WWAN, Bluetooth, webcam, ports, everything and nothing has helped.
WIN 7, i7, 16gb, 128 ssd - all original parts, no knockoff battery or anything like that. I have the latest BIOS.
(Cold start) 0 - 12 seconds (BIOS)
(BIOS) 12 seconds - 34 seconds (desktop)
34 seconds total is good for WIN 7 but why such a long wait for BIOS splash screen?
My old Dell D530 got to the BIOS in 2 seconds and it had low hardware specs.
What are your boot times and do you have a crawl to reach the BIOS splash screen?

Have you tried testing with the HDD removed and with different combinations of ram?

Do you have a DVD drive or any other external media plugged in?

Is it dented? Have you checked the motherboard if there is anything contacting it.
When I was shorting out a chip, it would stall on boot, that's why I know.
Additionally the time clock might not be set or maybe your BIOS settings got reset somehow and is set to long boot.

Okay removing the SSD and RAM combinations did not change anything however, removing the CD drive took it down to 5 seconds. There is no disk in the drive though. No devices are connected on boot.
I have checked the BIOS and it is on quick boot. Is there a way to totally reset the BIOS to default settings?
I do not know if the motherboard is dented, the chassis is dent-free. Have checked the motherboard seems all clear.
I have noticed the middle (WWAN or Bluetooth) LED stays on for majority of the wait.

Remove the CD drive from the boot order in BIOS.

Try a different optical drive.

Try removing/disconnecting all peripherals and see what happens: bluetooth, wwan, dvd, wifi.
