ThinkPad W500 Blu-ray drive

I'm looking for combo CD/DVD/Blu-ray drive, i guess it's called Serial Ultrabay Slim Blu-ray Burner. I looked for in many sites but it's hard to find. Maybe someone on this forum have one on sale ?

The only place I've seen more than one for sale is on ebay. Read the listings carefully and make sure it is a Serial Ultrabay Slim - NOT a Serial Ultrabay Enhanced drive. The enhanced drives are taller (12.5 vs 9.5mm) and won't fit. Otherwise the signals are the same. The Slim drive will fit in an Enhanced bay but not the other way around.

I know I am pulling up an old post, but I'm also looking for a Serial Ultrabay Slim blu ray drive for my W510.
I'm not even sure there is a blue ray for my machine.

For W510 with the thicker bay, the solution is easy. I bought an HP 12.7mm Blu ray drive and swapped over from a bad ThinkPad DVD drive the backplate, ultrabay lock, and faceplate. Voila, Blu ray in my T420.

There are factory Lenovo BD-RE drives for Serial Ultrabay Enhanced and Serial Ultrabay Slim. Serial Ultrabay Slim will physically and electrically work in the Serial Ultrabay Enhanced bays (there will be a gap) but it doesn't work the other way around.

Here are the part numbers:
45N7463 (-RE, Serial Ultrabay Enhanced - "thick" for T420, T430 etc.)
45N7459 (-RE, Serial Ultrabay Slim - "thin" for T400, T410 etc.)

Ok, so it looks like I'll make a trip to eBay. I'm afraid I would pick the wrong size "something" if I tried to go for a different brand. But it looks like I can use the slim or enhanced for ultrabay... so maybe I won't mess that up
