ThinkPad W510 slow with charger 90W

#1 Post by jirka » Mon May 17, 2021 11:55 am

Hi,

I have W510,
configuration : i7, 1920x1080 Nvidia Quadro FX880M, SSD.

I installed Win10 and I found this problem :
- without power supply (without charger) is computer very very fast.
- with power supply (Lenovo 90W) is computer very very slow.

I read some threads and found that it could be because of charger - they say that with 135W it is ok. So I visited service shop and try stronger charger (they have Lenovo 170W). But it doesn't help, it is still so slow.

I put Win configuration to better performance, but it doesn't help.
All drivers are seems to be ok - Windows 10 found everything.

Have you some idea? If you know, please help me.

Thanks!!!, Jirka

Hi, I´ve read in another thread that this has to do with the hypertreading in the Bios, try enable or disable it. Good luck
