Just a quick question.
Does anyone know if the Thinkpad W500 have any mPCIe slots to fit something like this mPCIe to USB adapter?

Thanks.

The WWAN slot should be perfect for that, as it's guaranteed to have the USB signals wired to the connector.

Just to clarify, will I be able to install an mPCIe-to-USB adapter alongside a Wi-Fi card?

Yes, in the wwan slot. You could even put a half-height wlan in the turbomem slot and free up the full-height wlan slot.
Flash a whitelist-removed bios first and be prepared to isolate pin 56 on a wlan card if putting it in the wwan or turbomem slots.
