Thinkpad W700 and W500 have appeared on Lenovo's website!

They've shown up a lot quicker than I thought they would have!
The W700 starts at $2,978, and adding the Intel QX9300 costs an additional $1,275. The 15.4″ W500 starts at $1,629.

This guy is actually reporting something that I (and probably many others) have not seen, heard, or read yet, namely:
ThinkPad W700 mobile workstations offer a 120cm x 80cm Wacom® palm-rest digitizer and pen...
I heard that the W700 is humongous, but imagine a laptop with a 120cm x 80cm integrated pen tablet. How big does the laptop have to be to accommodate this?

I don't remember, but they may not have been on Lenovo Canada's website.

Which incidentally returns an error when trying to view them now.

This is a primary feature on the W700 that was introduced as soon as the W700 was.

I don't think they announced it with those measurements:
120cm x 80cm
use google if you need to convert it to inches :wink:.

I believe the digitizer pad size is listed in mm's, not cm's.

80mm x 120mm = approximately 3.2in x 4.7in. :wink:
