When I run my hands over the top of my W500, while closed, I notice a goos hump or warped area in the LCD cover.
Anyone else?

Does this sound like what you're seeing? ->
It’s a feature, not a defect

No offense, but does anyone know what he is talking about?

I would assume he is referring to the keyboard. My impressions of it are: not as good as a T60. Has some flex, but not noticeable during typing, feel is still great. Kind of loud, however, and the noise isn't quite even across the entire keyboard. Fortunately, the flex only occurs when pressing on the keyboard.

Ah. Good observation. Just checked, my W500 is much quieter when closing the lid than my dad's T60.
