W500/W700 Audio Recording Capabilities

I've posted links to the just released official Lenovo reponse at our own long running Sticky Stereo Re-Mix Thread within our General Hardware/Software Question Section found here:

However, many of us readers do not often visit that Section and could easily miss this issue before making a purchasing decision by only reading the sections specific to the model ThinkPad currently under consideration.

It is my hope that you please consider this a public service announcement rather than cross-posting because the audio recording capabilities of the newer ThinkPads has been an ongoing question .... Will they or won't they be able to record audio Stereo Mix or 'What-u-Hear' without the use of additionally purchased add-on hardware (unlike the X/T60 and earlier units which required no additional hardware).
