W700 Windows x64 Standby Problem

#1 Post by lenovofan1 » Tue Feb 10, 2009 3:59 am

Hi guys,

we got an W700 and Windows x64Bit installed on it.
Everything is working fine, but we just got an problem with the standby function.
When we go into the standby mode and try to awake the laptop it is "freezing".

We also tried to install the newest PowerManagement Driver but no success.

Somebody can help us? :-)

My W700 runs Windows Vista Ultimate x64. I can go into "sleep" mode and pop out with no problem.

When I come out of "sleep" I have to click on a choice between my usual user and fingerprint logon, even though I have no Windows password and normally boot to the desktop when cold booting.

What operating system are you running? Do you mean "sleep" or "standby" or "hibernation."

I would check Lenovo website for any BIOS updates that might be related to this or similar issues. It might be not necessarily a windows problem. And please take care if you have to update your BIOS.

Good luck

Everything is working fine?
How did you install your fingerprint? Can you tell me that since I am mad at that device.
And Hotkey is also a big problem for me.
Thanks a lot.
