Color Calibration with Two External Monitors.
Color Calibration with Two External Monitors.
Does anyone know how Color Calibration would work with two external monitors? Will it only affect one of the two monitors or affect both? Is it even possible to do when using external monitors?

Re: Color Calibration with Two External Monitors.
I think you'll have to get a spyder or whatever the external calibrators are. The inbuilt one is calibrating the notebook screen - but its calibration will affect the other monitors (I think) even if the profile is unsuitable for them. I'm not quite sure how one gets three seperate concurrent colour profiles running because I've never done it before and have zero experience.

You didn't specify which Thinkpad you have. If you have a W700, buy the Huey and don't load the included software, use the software installed on the W700. If you have any other Thinkpad install the software included with the Huey.
Calibrate the W700 first with the lid closed, drag the Huey display screen to the next monitor and stick the Huey on the screen and start the calibration, repeat for the next monitor. You can only use two monitors at a time.
Laptop screen + 1 external monitor or 2 external monitor, not Laptop and two external
Hope this helps

When I do get a thinkpad (since I am still researching my next laptop) it will be a W700. I was wondering if the included soft wear would work if you use the two external monitors.MTWIZARD wrote:http://www.pantone.com/pages/products/p ... 9&ca=2&s=0

The built in software will work with two external monitors, but you must have a HUEY to calibrate the external monitors.

Okay that is good to know. I might pick one up even if I don't' go the W700 route.
