Hi,
I have a DisplayPort adapter to HDMI cable going from a W500 to a iiyama 1920x1200 screen.
Does anybody knows if the DisplayPort can be used from boot, please?
At the moment, I have to login to Vista using the laptop's screen as the external screen doesn't display the widows boot up sequence nor windows welcome screen.
Then the laptop recognises the external screen and a picture appears on the iiyama external screen.
Thanks in advance

Re: W500: Can DisplayPort be used from boot up?
Go to bios, and there is an option to select the boot up screen. The default is the thinkpad lcd screen but it should have options for dvi or display port, I have mine set to dvi. Then when you boot, the boot splash boot screen and other info should be displayed to your external monitor.
