Disabling lower buttons ("touchpad" buttons)?

I've disabled the touchpad (via the UltraNav control panel plugin). However, this does not disable the left/right buttons below the touchpad. I've looked at all the "buttons" tab on the mouse control panel; there is no option there to affect which set of UltraNav mouse buttons are enabled. Any hints on how to disable the touchpad buttons (below the touchad) while leaving the upper three-button set enabled?

If you disable touchpad in the BIOS, it should disable the buttons as well. At least it did in all previous Thinkpad models.

Thank you for that pointer. Disabling the touchpad in the BIOS does still disable the lower pair of buttons.

On T60- Can the two lower buttons be disabled without disabling the touch pad ?
I'm sure I did this on a T40 and a 600 not with bios but with IBM GUI/?UltraNav ?
but cant find that on the UltraNav software recommended for the T60.

Thanks !

For future searchers- found it- not obvious.
UltraNAv tab>Enable touchpad>Settings>buttons>uncheck 'enable buttons'

'Enable buttons' refers only to the lower 2 buttons - Who would ever guess ??

Thanks

Yes, sure. Because the upper three belong to the trackpoint :D

Other way to try - Fn+F8 -> Enable TrackPoint Only. Checked now on T601 with XP - Works.
------------
Addition: UltraNav Utility MUST be installed to Fn+F8 work as described.
Also tested on T61 + W7.

PS - Offtop:
EasyEject don't eject (show in list) USB drives in W7 :( and W7 rports that EasyEject have some troubles with W7 when it first started ;)
