W500 networking slow, unreliable after update

I recently installed updates to the Intel WiFi and Ethernet drivers, and am now seeing very unreliable network performance on my W500.

Basically, Internet access is slow and it seems like there is some kind of error. For example, web pages won't load until refreshed once or twice. Clicking on a link will give the "server not responding" page from Firefox, and then refreshing the page will load it instantly.

When downloading files, it will get to about 99% of the file downloaded, and then stall.

Any idea of what could be happening here?
