HELP - Network closing, when I close the lid - How to fix

#1 Post by tooms » Fri Sep 04, 2009 9:36 am

Another newbie question:

The network shuts down, when I close the lid on my W500. How do I keep it running, so that I can dock the computer with the lid closed ?? Where do I go exactly, to do this ??? I'm running 32 bit Vista

I changed what the Fn + F7 does to my screen, but I want to change it back. How do I do that ??

Go to Vista Control Panel and launch "Power Options." Click on "Choose What Closing the Lid Does" and then set that to "Do Nothing." Set it that way for both battery and a/c power.

See if that does it. If it doesn't, let me know here.
