W700 and PreLoaded Windows 7

Currently I have an order with Lenovo for a W700 configured for RAID-1. The order is predicated on it shipping with Windows 7 Pre Loaded. Currently the Lenovo web site does not show Windows 7 as a Pre Loaded option. My sales rep indicates the until the web site is updated to say Windows 7 is Pre Load option for the W700 my order will not proceed.
Does any one have any insight as to whether Lenovo plans to make the W700 available with Windows 7 Pre Loaded soon?
FWIW RAID-1 is a requirement so I am limited in my choices within the Lenovo lineup and elswhere.
I really don't want to go through a Vista 64 -> Windows 7 (64) manually.
Thanks in advance.

Why must you wait? What sales rep told you you can't get it with Vista64 and a free upgrade to 7?

I can get the upgrade but then W700 then isn't a EE machine. Also the "free" upgrade is $17.95. Compared to the cost of the W700 that's pittance but don't call it a "free" upgrade.

Not sure what an EE machine is, but waiting because you don't want to pay for shipping/handling (yes, the upgrade IS free[*]) seems like a waste of time if you really want a new thinkpad. But wait away. I'm using mine right now and I enjoy it. :)

[*] There are lots of times when you can get something for free if you don't mind paying to have it shipped. Versions of Linux, Solaris and such are all Free but you gotta pay for the media. Doesn't mean they're not free.

Evidently, some manufacturers (DELL) also ship it for free, including international. It doesn't cost $17.95 to ship a DVD locally (and I am sure it is locally, it's not like it's coming all the way from China). Shipping/handling in Europe is even more ridiculous (twice the price). Somebody clearly is "handling" someone else in this transaction.

EE is a Windows 7 Certification (lenovo only?)
See:
http://shop.lenovo.com/SEUILibrary/cont ... Experience

If you upgrade to Windows 7 yourself your machine is not considered EE certified.
