Tell me about W700 discounting during the W701 transition.

Was talking to a Lenovo sales rep yesterday about my delayed W700 order, and we got around to discussing W700 availability as they transition to the W701('end of life' is the term, I believe).
She checked her notes and what was listed was availability into May, 2010. Notes didn't indicate early/mid/late, just May timeframe.
I've always purchased my Tpads used, so don't know the new market much...
So, for those who know, how would Lenovo be discounting during the final weeks/months to move the inventory? Shortages likely? Early 'end of life' a likely possibility?? Larger than normal discounts, or steady/steep price drops with the online order process??
Am wondering about picking up more, if I really like my new toy, depending upon configs available, pricing, etc.
In poking around on the web, it appears Lenovo is constantly running little xx% discount coupons on selected inventory, so I wanna be informed and ready to pounce if the right deal pops up.
