I have a 2x 160gig RAID 0 setup, and the Intel utility that loads after BIOS, reports that "Error(s) occurred" on one of the drives. The Intel Matrix Storage Console also reports that "1 ECC errors were found" but as this is RAID 0 does not give me the option of reparing.
Surface scan tests in Windows and Lenovo's toolbox report no problems but the machine is hanging every now and then, presumably when it tries to access the bad block.
Is there a fix other than phoning Lenovo ? And will they need some persuasion to replace the drive when their own utility doesn't report any errors ?
RAID 0: Errors occurred
Re: RAID 0: Errors occurred
Maybe check the S.M.A.R.T. monitor for errors?
Apathy is on the rise, but nobody seems to care.
Re: RAID 0: Errors occurred
S.M.A.R.T doesn't work with RAID neither does the Hitachi utities ....
