W510 vs W701 - why the difference in upgrade price

#1 Post by kaz911 » Mon Apr 26, 2010 3:01 am

I was looking at W510 and W701 to upgrade my trusty W700ds.

I need a lot of horse power - so I wanted to upgrade to i7-920XM Extreme on the Lenovo Shop.

But the upgrade from i7-720QM on W510 cost $750 - but same upgrade on W701 cost $1200

So an idiots extra cost of $450? Is it a mistake - or does Lenovo think we do not?

What mistake? Just pricing policy :D
