The technician told me he could get it to work if he pushed it down before the bios starts. Where can i buy a new motherboard? Everything eles on the machine is fine except for the motherboard ...

Most of your laptop actually consists of the motherboard, therefore replacement will not be cheap. Is it not under guarantee? What makes you think that it has anything to do with the southbridge?

You might be able to get it fixed by someone that can do solder reflowing.
