Question about insert three memory into W510

#1 Post by qiuxiaolei » Tue Jun 01, 2010 9:38 am

Since the default configuration is 1*1067Mhz 2GB memory and I do not work in design,I think 6GB is enough.
I have bought the CMSO4GX3M2A1333C9 corsair 2GB*2 DDR3 1666MHZ Laptop Memory Kit CMSO4GX3M2A1333C9
so what will happen if 3 memory is already.I do know the x61 motherboard do not support the tri-channel thechonologybn, but I do not have the w510 at now ,can anybody do me a favor to test it
THank you verymuch

Ok, I've just tested it with my W510 with a i7-720QM and it seems to work just fine. I have two 2GB sticks under the keyboard and one 2GB in the bottom slots. For the cost of memory I'd just load it up with four 2GB sticks and suffer with 8 gigs of memory. :D

Returning to 8 gigs...
