Thinkpad W510 requires 2 shutdown commands
I select shutdown and it spins for a while then stops. Then I wait approx 30 seconds and select it again and it shuts down ASAP. Where do I start? I looked to see if any processes are hanging and I always manually shutdown all programs and files first..... Running IBM internal XP image and this worked fine for the first couple months
Re: Thinkpad W510 requires 2 shutdown commands
There are so many things that can cause XP shutdown problems that the complete list is likely endless. For starters the obvious. Remove all USB connected devices, cards and adapters, and any external device. Does the problem still occur? If you boot into safe mode is shutdown immediate?
