Screen keeps dimming on my W510

AT RANDOM TIMES Esp more often when it is running off of battery
I already checked Power Manager and both settings are at the max brightness

Check your Idle Timers settings too. Under Power Manager.
The Batt Power one could be set to dim the screen after a minute.

Many thanks I went and found it and set it to "never' lets see if that helps. Again, appreciate the reply

FYI, occasionally, the setting reactivates itself to auto-dim. Also, after Power Manger upgrades, auto-dim is enabled. At least you know how to change it to "never" - which should be called "almost never"!

If you're trying to run the machine off of an after market power supply...or the "charging station" power cord you can get through Lenovo...you'll encounter that problem. The machine demands the full power adapter that comes with the machine or it will do that.

Not using an after market Power supply. This only happens when running on battery and just dims at random. I just turned off the NVidia Power Mizer cantrol panel, lets see if that helps
