Well, if you were to ask a friend of mine, he'd say Crucial (only because he just got laid off from Corsair :( ). In reality, either one will probably be good. Crucial is owned by Micron, a major DRAM memory manufacturer. However, that is no guarantee that the Crucial module will be built with Micron chips, as they also buy memory from other manufacturers and put them on the modules. Corsair does not make the memory chips; they buy DRAM from the open market.

What is most important is that you should test the memory modules as soon as you receive them. That way any problems can be quickly identified and you have a better chance at getting your money back or the module exchanged. One of the better programs that test memory is memtest86+ and is available from here: http://www.memtest.org/#downiso

Some memory manufacturers that may also sell their own modules are: Micron, Samsung, Hynix, Mitsubishi, Elpida.
